Where have all the good blogging apps gone?

I'm serious about not liking RapidWeaver.
My first blogging app was iBlog. I stopped using it around version 1.4 or so, when iWeb for the Mac came out as part of Apple's iLife suite. iBlog itself was fine, but the company, Lifli, was flaky. Supposedly iBlog exists in version 5 now, but the company website seems defunct, so I'd not risk using it.
I think Apple's iWeb was the perfect WYSIWYG blogging application, but its main weakness was that it got bogged down when the number of blog entries grew. Then it got discontinued in version 3 when Apple moved from MobileMe to iCloud. Luckily, I was able to save my iWeb MobileMe sites here.
When I finally gave up on iWeb, I switched to Sandvox, which was a fine WYSIWYG replacement, but it, too, was dropped by its company (Karelia). Karelia itself disappeared.
So now I'm on Rapidweaver. My big problem with RapidWeaver is it's not a true WYSIWYG editor. Instead. I have to use its separate, built-in simulation feature to see what my pages look like.
For something that's in version 8, that's just stupid.
I tried WordPress on this hosting service, and then I tried using MarsEdit to edit the WordPress pages. However, even MarsEdit isn't true WYSIWYG, which is still pretty stupid for something in version 4.
Also, the WordPress hosting on inMotion (my hosting service) is pretty slow. Don't know why.

Court of Honor; Vigil
June 15, 2021 10:29 AM
L (left), W, and V (right) are all in college now, but W completed his Eagle rank and got his Court of Honor before the pandemic restrictions went into effect. His patrol-mates L and V finished Eagle before going to college, but they weren't able to participate in a Court of Honor.
This past weekend, with the pandemic restrictions eased enough for us to hold an outdoor Court of Honor, our Troop finally held Court of Honor for 8 (!) Eagle Scouts, including L and V, who were home for the summer. It was great to see them, and afterward, we went to an Eagle celebration at the home of another Eagle Scout who was at the Court of Honor.

This weekend, I went through Vigil, and received the Vigil Honor from the Order of the Arrow. I had been selected by Tuku'ut Lodge for the honor last month. Vigil was exhausting and moving. I saw a brown bear twice over the weekend. But now I can say that I, too, have kept the Vigil.
Still here, but...

I'm not really liking RapidWeaver. The interface is too unfriendly for a photoblog. It's like a chore to do things on RapidWeaver.
