7/15/19 UPDATE: I’m moving my web pages to RapidWeaver, and you can access my new pages at Allan’s RapidWeaver Pages. The old pages will remain as before.
Welcome to my Sandvox-based site. My old iWeb based site and pages, including my 2013 Photoblog, will remain available for the foreseeable future (e.g. until I start running out of space on my host). However, I have password-protected the old sites because I have started protecting certain names for privacy in new content, and it’s just too much work to go back and edit the old content.
I used to use Sandvox’s Aqua design template, but when I added Photoblog 2015 for the new year, I wanted to switch to a new template, Cirrus. Unfortunately, Sandvox switched the entire site to Cirrus. iWeb would have let me keep different templates for different blogs and archives on the same site, and I can’t find a way for Sandvox to let me do the same thing without making it create separate sites. Effectively, they could be multiple sites, i.e. multiple URLs, under the same domain, but those would be edited under different windows, and the whole thing would not be as automatic as I would like it to be, leaving a bit too much room for error, e.g. accidentally overwriting previous sites.
So, in the meantime, I’ll have to accept that my old photoblog has the new design template (as well as the new copyright date). Maybe Karelia will enhance Sandvox in the future to allow multiple design templates within one site.
1/2/15 Update: I’ve consolidated the 2014 and 2015 Photoblogs into one Photoblog, assuming Sandvox doesn’t choke on long blogs and since I no longer have the primary visual cue of different design templates for different years, anyway.
