Floss
and WD-40.
James
tried to get an early start on dental hygiene by flossing his
teeth.

I
think my knees are healing okay, but my legs are feeling awfully leaden, heavy,
and tired nowadays. Apart from walking Bessie a couple of miles this weekend, I
haven't done any serious jogging since about a week ago. I'm thinking of buying
a bike computer for my bike and returning to cycling, at least until my knees
stop hurting.
When I came home this
evening and had dinner, I decided to soak a while in the bathtub, hoping the hot
water would soothe my legs a bit. I noticed that the little plunger knob thing
that shunts water from the bathtub spout to the shower head had finally stuck
solid with mineral deposits. It wouldn't budge, so I asked Hsuan to get my can
of WD-40 off my workbench in the
garage.
Then, sitting in my bath water,
I sprayed the hell out of the bathtub spout and worked the knob until it was
nice and loose. Meanwhile, my bath water got a nice WD-40 smell to it. I'm not
so sure I wanted that. Maybe the WD-40 was
moisturizing.

Visited
a parish school in Pasadena as well as our parish school in Glendora yesterday.
The one in Pasadena is probably the most sought-after parochial school in
Pasadena, so it's a long shot that we'll get in. We'll likely apply, anyway.
Our parish school in Glendora is less difficult; I think it's probably more a
matter of registering rather than "applying" to the
school.
We got a nice phone call from
the last private school that William visited...
