while.
This is me in my office after I got back from my first bike ride in months. Sunny and warm today. I took it easy and didn't work up a sweat, so I just changed back into my work clothes once I got back, though I was still feeling a little tired -- mostly from staying up until 4 AM this morning at home, going over family finances and paying bills, trying not to fall so far behind on banking and investment statements and such. I suppose I don't look terribly refreshed in the photo; in retrospect, I would have preferred a shower at the gym. I installed and tried out the new bike computer . The computer uses a wireless transmitter mounted on the front wheel fork to sense the passage of a magnet mounted on a spoke. The computer, mounted on the handlebar, reads signals from the sensor to count passages of the magnet, and the computer itself is programmed with the wheel size. Thus, speed and distance can be calculated by the number of magnet passes per second or minute. Positioning the wheel magnet near the sensor was kind of finicky.
