Vacation, Day 6
Animal Kingdom, second
visit
Very late start. Arrived at Animal Kingdom
around 10:40 AM. Left the Canon HV20 back in the room safe, so I just brought
the A700 for
stills.
James practiced William's forms before leaving the room in the morning.
Waiting in line for Finding Nemo.
Caught the 11:30 AM showing of Finding Nemo. Good seats. Afterward, we spent time in Dinoland playing games and trying to win prizes. We spent much of the rest of the afternoon pursuing the Kids Discovery Club sites so that William could get his book stamped throughout Animal Kingdom. Then he got some tattoo prizes.

William and the only prize we legitimately won in competition with strangers.
Around 2:15 PM, we returned to Rafiki’s Planet Watch and Conservation Station so that James could pet the goats again. Returned to the mainland around 3:15 PM and finished the Kids Discovery Club stations, then we caught the last show of Finding Nemo at 4:30 PM.

Triceratops Spin, then we caught the 6:30 PM showing of Festival of the Lion King. I found out that after the show that they’d have a special 9:00 PM Extra Magic Hours showing of the Lion King. We had dinner around 8 PM, spent a little more time in Dinoland, then caught the 9 PM Lion King. Hsuan and I noticed that both of the performances we saw today had a new actor/singer playing the “Masculine and Strong” lead male character. He was pretty intense.
We spent a lot of time afterward back in Dinoland, including our first trip ever into the Boneyard play area, before heading back to the Grand Floridian just before 11 PM.
