Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Of course, the photo is from last month. We all got sick with the flu between Christmas and New Year’s, but I got a lot less sick than the rest of the family because I actually had my flu shot, while they hadn’t. So I was just tired and achy, but I never had to run to the bathroom to vomit or have diarrhea. On the negative side, though, I had another kidney stone, which started passing right before I went to New Orleans for the AGU meeting.
BTW, I had almost all of my meals in the French Quarter, and the food was utterly spectacular. Far more enjoyable than any of the science I did or heard at the AGU meeting. New Orleans has surpassed San Francisco as my favorite city away from home, now.
Meanwhile, this month, the boys had another couple of piano recitals, videos of which I posted to YouTube.
